This latter is a polisher, dated back to the neolithic period, classified now as an historic monument. Itâ€™s a perfect witness, a lot of anecdotes noticed it. We also hope you are keen to discover the District heritage : Primarily, the church whose name is "Eglise Notre-Dame de l'Assomption" sealed as an heritage of the reconstruction. The latter coupled with the British cemetery, witnesses the devastation and the scars left by the first world war.

Assevillers is a little, quiet village in the Picardie region. The District is located only a few kilometers from Peronne. Assevillers is above all, well known with its area alongside the motorway, one of the largest and more frequented in Europe ( hotels, restaurants gas-stations ), but also for its military tomb and the 'polisher' grĂ¨s Saint-Martin. The village has been in the very heart of conflicts of the first world war.
Assevillers is not only close to the motorway A1 (1h30 from Paris and 50 mns from Lille),but the village is also located 2 klms away from the TGV haute Picardie railway station (easy access to Paris, Bruxelles, London). It's moreover close to an access toward 'La Somme, a river', its ponds around and to the airport of Albert-MĂ©aulte as well.
