Albert est né à Malmesbury dans le Wiltshire, Angleterre approximativement en 1891. Il est le fils de Isaac and Selina Johnson

Il est mort le 21 Septembre 1915 à l'âge de 24ans. C'est la première personne du 11e Welsh Bataillon à mourir en France.

Un obus allemand a frappé directement sa tranchée. Il faisait partie des régiments de "Cardiff Pals" levés par Kitchener pour sa Nouvelle Armée en 1914.
